Drinks Empire Company is a UK wholesale drinks supplier serving retailers, convenience stores, distributors, importers and hospitality buyers. We stock over 5,700 lines across beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, energy drinks and confectionery, supplied by the case and the pallet from our Walsall base.
Choosing between wholesale drinks suppliers in the UK usually comes down to four questions: are they licensed, what will they actually charge, how fast can they ship, and will they handle export documentation. This page answers all four before you send an enquiry.
Licensed and verifiable
Drinks Empire Company is the trading name of Empire Drinks Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 11475056, VAT GB302674131.
We are approved under HMRC’s Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme, AWRS URN XZAW00000111737.
That matters more than it might appear. If you buy alcohol to resell, checking your supplier’s AWRS registration is a legal obligation on you as the buyer, not a courtesy. Buying from an unregistered wholesaler puts your own licence at risk. We publish our URN so you can complete due diligence with HMRC before you commit to anything — see how to check an AWRS number if you have not done it before.
What we supply
Our range covers the categories a drinks wholesaler is normally asked for, plus the household and personal care lines that travel well in mixed containers.
- Wholesale spirits — whisky, cognac, vodka, rum, gin and tequila, including Johnnie Walker, Jack Daniel’s, Hennessy and Grey Goose
- Wholesale beer — lagers, stouts and non-alcoholic, including Heineken, Guinness, Corona and Carlsberg
- Wholesale wine and champagne — red, white, rosé and sparkling across classic and New World regions
- Wholesale soft drinks — Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Fanta, Schweppes and Lipton Ice Tea in cans and bottles
- Wholesale energy drinks — Red Bull, Monster, Prime, Lucozade and Rockstar
- Bottled water wholesale — Evian, Fiji, Perrier and Vittel in glass and PET
- Confectionery, detergents and cosmetics for mixed FMCG loads
If a line is not listed, ask. We source to order across all of these categories.
How our pricing works
Trade prices are quoted per case or per pallet and exclude VAT. We do not publish prices on the site, and that is deliberate rather than evasive: wholesale pricing moves with volume, destination and shipping terms, so any figure listed here would be wrong for most buyers who read it.
Every quote states the Incoterm, whether the price is duty-paid or under bond, and a confirmed lead time. Send us products, quantities and destination country and you will get the real number.
Minimum order and lead times
There is no overall minimum order value. Each product carries its own minimum order quantity, shown on its product page. MOQs are lower on fast-moving beer and soft drinks than on premium spirits, simply because the capital tied up per case is different.
Mixed orders across categories are welcome and we consolidate them into a single shipment.
UK orders dispatch within 3–5 working days of confirmation. Export orders typically ship within 2–3 weeks, allowing for documentation and container consolidation.
Export from the UK
We export from the UK to Europe, the USA, Asia, the Americas and Africa, quoting on FOB, CIF and DAP. Alcohol leaving the UK is not subject to UK excise duty, though the destination country will levy its own. Import duty, taxes and any product registration in the destination market are the buyer’s responsibility.
Incoterms explained covers what each term means for cost and risk if you are deciding which to quote on. Full detail sits on our trade terms page.
Getting a quote
Use the quote button on any product, message us on WhatsApp, or send your list through the contact form. Quote requests raised from a product page arrive with the product and reference already attached, which saves a round of emails.
Include products, quantities and destination country. If you have a target price, a required delivery date or a preferred Incoterm, say so upfront and we will price against it.
